Charge Rates: Customers
The Customer Charge Rates tab includes two fields to identify a markup percent or charge rate for labor costs.
If a charge rate or markup percentage is defined for a customer, that rate is used to calculate all labor costs on work orders associated with the customer. This means as estimated or actual labor is created for a work order that is associated with the customer, the rates defined on this page override any rates defined for the given labor resource.
-
If only a markup percentage is defined, rates will be calculated by multiplying the labor cost by the defined customer markup percentage.
-
If only a charge rate is defined, rates will be calculated by multiplying the defined hours by the specified charge rate.
-
If both a markup percentage and charge rate are defined, the charge rate will be used.
